Obituary for Paul A. Hazekamp Mr. Paul A. Hazekamp, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. He was born on January 28, 1925 in Muskegon Heights to Henry and Marie (Christenson) Hazekamp. Paul served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He worked at Bowen-Fisher for 15 years and Thill Oil for 25 years prior to retiring in 1985. He was a man of many talents and skills, and built his own home in Muskegon at 70 years of age. Paul was a past member of the VFW, the American Legion in Grand Haven, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity the Lions Club, and was on the Zoning Board for Muskegon Twp.

Paul was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church in Muskegon for 38 years, then a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Holland for 20 years, and presently a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Muskegon. On August 8, 1947, he married the former Nancy Bennink and together just celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. They traveled the United States, Canada and Mexico for 20 years in their fifth wheel, and for 15 years were Winter Texans in Mission, Texas.

They were avid square dancers, and members of the Hi Nabors Square Dance Club in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include his wife, Nancy; three children, Richard (Sue) Hazekamp of Muskegon, Sandra Marie (Rev. James) Foster of Otsego, and David (Patti) Hazekamp also of Muskegon; three grandsons; two great grandchildren; one brother, Bernard Hazekamp of Minneapolis, MI; along with several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, JoAnn Corbin; and brother, Donald Hazekamp. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11AM Monday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastors Bill Uetricht and Jim Foster officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at church, from 10-11AM.

Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or First Evangelical Lutheran Church will be appreciated. Share memories with the family online at www.
