Obituary for Joyce E. Vanderweele Mrs. Joyce E. Vanderweele, age 93, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Muskegon on December 4, 1924 to John and Evelyn (Bolthouse) Haiker and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School, class of 1941. On June 10, 1949, Joyce married Louis Vanderweele in Muskegon, and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage.

Joyce and Louis lived in Grand Rapids, Tucson, Arizona, and Muskegon. She was employed by Terryberry Company for many years prior to her retirement. Joyce was an accomplished artist and loved traveling with her husband.

She is survived by her sisters, Sharon Jensen and Donna Cotton, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; her parents; and brother, John Haiker. According to Joyce’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
