Obituary for Robert D. “Haney” Hanes Robert D. “Haney” Hanes, age 63, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his home. He was born February 8, 1955 in Muskegon to Eric E. and Betty J. (Ellison) Hanes and was a life resident. On June 21, 1997, he married the former Rebecca M. “Becky” Eller in Spring Lake.

Haney worked over 30 years at Sealed Power Corp. /Dana Corp. and retired in 2003.

He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include his wife, Becky Hanes of Muskegon; 2 step-sons, Shane (Shannon Clarke) Burling of Muskegon, Robert (Erin) Burling of Arizona; 2 grandsons, Cain and Joshua Burling; 4 brothers, Daniel (Linda) Hanes of Baldwin, Gerald (Pat) Hanes of Muskegon, Bruce Hanes of Muskegon, Eric (Corrine) Hanes of Muskegon; and 1 sister, Jeannie (John) Jager of Kalamazoo. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (3252 E. Apple Ave.

) with the Rev. Philip A. Shangraw presiding. VISITATION will take place one hour prior to the service.
