Paul David Herring, 58, of Sylvester, Georgia, passed away February 24th, 2019 at home in Milledgeville, Georgia. Final arrangements are being handled by Reflection Cremation and Funeral Services in Tifton, Georgia. Paul will be laid to rest at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Paul was born August 6th, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son of Grover Cleveland Herring, Jr. of Moultrie, Georgia, and Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Funston, Georgia. He was one of six children.

He attended Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia; Class of 78. Paul served in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1982 and served over a year and a half at sea. He worked in industry for over 30 years, including Georgia Marble in Jasper, Georgia, Cooper Tire – Albany Georgia, The Door & Window Company – Albany Georgia, and Tifton Aluminum.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rodney Dale Herring. He is survived by his eldest sister Brenda Leigh (Herring) Crooms of Milledgeville, Georgia; sister Teresa Sue (Herring) Estrada of Athens, Georgia; brother Joey J. Herring of Sylvester, Georgia; and Nikki LeRae Herring of Daytona Beach, FL. He was previously married to Diane Sylvia Hollis of Albany, Georgia.

He had two stepchildren, Christopher Webb and Joshua Webb of Albany, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to assemble at the memorial service planned for February 27th, 2019 at – Time and Location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
