Paul E. Grimes, Jr., age 70, of Crescent Twp. , passed away unexpectedly at his camp on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Born in Rochester on February 12, 1948, he was one of 3 to the late Shirley (Moore) and Paul E. Grimes, Sr. Paul is the loving husband of his high school sweetheart for 51 years, Maxine (Smolinsky) Grimes.

Cherished father of Paul M. Grimes (Jami Barr) and Megan Grimes (Eric Latham) all of Crescent; beloved brother of Jean Bianchin (Bill) of Carnegie and Kathleen Thomas of Allison Park; adored grandfather of Christian Fitzwater, Jordan and Joshua Latham; special uncle to Paul, Ray and Jay Hunter, Bobby Blystone and Tammy Rapp; great uncle to several great nieces and nephews. Paul, a recipient of the Navy Cross and two Purple Hearts, was a proud U.S. Marine, serving his country from 1966-1970. He was a member of VFW Post #8803 and the American Legion Post #334, both in Tidioute, PA.

For over thirty years, was a laborer with Construction Local 833, New Brighton. Paul was an avid hunter. He will be sadly missed and remembered as a great friend, husband, father and grandfather.

Visitation Thursday (Jan. 31, 2018) on Thursday from 2-8 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead RD. where service with Military Honors will be held on Friday at 10 AM.
