OBITUARY Paul Edward Bauza June 22, 1949 – September 6, 2018 Paul Edward Bauza, 69, passed away on Thursday September 6, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. He was born on June 22, 1949, the son of the late Paul Peter and Martha Lillian (Kretzer) Bauza. Paul married Stephenie Anne Bauder on August 29, 1970 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Belleville.

Paul served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Newport News during the Vietnam War. He loved camping and had great fun no matter what other problems came with it. His favorite trips were to Niagara Falls, Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons, Mount Rushmore, The Grand Canyon, The Rocky Mountains, and The Smokey Mountains where they have the best pizza.

Paul loved playing cards, bowling, cooking and was a lifetime member of The Swansea Improvement Association. In addition to his wife, Stephenie, he is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Becky (Rich) Wilburn of Edwardsville, IL and Jennifer (Jim) Wick of Swansea, IL; four grandchildren Megan and Josh Wilburn and Aubrey and Henry Wick; brother in law Karl Goss and several nieces, nephew, and cousins who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Donna Goss.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 9, 2018 from 1 pm to 4 pm at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights. Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 10, 2018 at 10 am at Lake View Funeral Home in Fairview Heights. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.

Memorials may be directed to Diabetes Association or St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
