Paul Eugene Bertiaux, Jr. joined his wife and son in eternity on Monday, November 26, 2018 from St. Clair Hospital at the age of 69. He was born on March 7, 1949 in Bellefonte, PA, one of five children to the late Adalein (Meek) and Paul E. Bertiaux, Sr. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 4-29-1968 to 12-10-1969 and was given an Honorable Discharge after being wounded. Upon returning from the war, he applied and was accepted in to the Western Pennsylvania Joint Apprentice Training Program where he served as an apprentice for 4 years.

After his graduation, he became a Journeyman Operating Engineer with Local 66 and had a stellar career working for Michael A. Facchiano Contracting. After 30 years, he retired in 2005 and lived in Bell Acres, PA. Paul was dedicated to his family, enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and family gatherings with good conversations. Paul was truly one of a kind, he would help anyone in need and provided guidance for all. Husband of the late Linda C. (Mastroianni) Bertiaux; beloved father of Barbara (David) Francavilla of Cranberry, Brian (Marlene) Bertiaux of Green Tree, PA, Shawn (Laura) Bertiaux of Sewickley and the late Paul E. Bertiaux III; cherished “Pappy” of Randy Rall, Kelsey Strickland, Chase Strickland, Jasiah Bertiaux, Kaya Francavilla, Makenna Bertiaux, Evelyn Bertiaux, Callie Bertiaux and Isla Bertiaux; precious brother of Sharon Paul of Economy Boro, Gary (Karen) Bertiaux of Baldwin Township, Susan Canello of Baden, Lisa (Daniel) Walters of Economy Boro; also many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation Friday 3- 9 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. with service Friday at 8:30 PM. Burial will be private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to Disabled American Veterans.
