Paul F. Knack of Hartford, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the age of 69. He was born December 19, 1948 in Pontiac, Illinois the son of Robert and Viola (nee Thiel) Knack. Paul grew up on a farm and farming was always close to his heart.
Paul was a fix it man and he could fix anything and worked in maintenance most of his career. He loved John Deere tractors and built to scale miniature versions of farm implements. He also built miniature buildings from the farm that he grew up on.
He served his country in the United States Air Force as a Sgt. Crew Chief during the Vietnam Conflict. He had a deep Christian faith and he was deeply grateful to his loving Moldenhauer family for taking him into their family and treating him like a son.
He is survived by his daughters Amy and Amanda Knack and his former wives Dana and Elaine Knack and his loving substitute mother Janet Moldenhauer, his brother Howard (Kay) Knack and his sisters, Edith (Rodney) Schwank, Arlene (Dale) Schmitz, Harriet Britzman and Judy (Harvey) Perschke. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert and Wendall Knack, his brother-in-law Ronald Stover and his substitute father Marvin Moldenhauer. Visitation is Thursday, July 19th at Bethany Ev.
Lutheran Church of Hustisford from 11-1 PM. Funeral Service will follow at church at 1 PM. Rev.
Jonathon Loescher will officiate. Internment will take place at King Veteran Cemetery in King Wi. , Friday at 1 PM.
Memorials to Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church or the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated. The family would like a heartfelt thank-you for all the prayers and support to the friends and those who provided aid and support during Paul’s time of need.
