Paul Herbert Bottke, age 90, passed away on May 11 at Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls. Paul was born in Iowa Falls on March 16, 1928, the son of Otto and Anna (Cupcheck) Bottke. Paul graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1946 and began working at Ralston Purina until his retirement in 1991.

Paul served in the 68th Engineering Depot Company in Korea from 1950-1952. He was united in marriage to Nada Bobst on June 29, 1958 in Iowa Falls. He was a life long member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Paul cared for his wife at home during her long struggle with Alzheimer’s. He will be remembered for his knowledge and love of history, his ability to engage in a conversation with anyone he met, willingness to help when someone was in need and his kindness he always showed to others. Paul Bottke is survived by his daughter Nancy Guinane, his grandchildren, Matthew (Erica), Katie and Michael Guinane, and brother Karl Bottke.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Nada, his parents, baby brother Marvin Bottke and sister Gloria Beer. Paul’s wishes were to be cremated and private burial will be held at a later date.
