PINE MEADOW – Paul Joseph Pobuda, 81, passed away on December 6, 2018. He was the loving husband of Polly (Holcomb) Pobuda. Born April 27, 1937 in Coaldale, PA; the son of the late Paul A. and Edna (Jurkciwicz) Pobuda.

Paul graduated from Coaldale High School and joined the U.S. Air Force serving from 1956 – 1965. He worked for American Finance as a branch manager, W. T. Grant Co., and The American Legion Dept of CT as Service Officer and Veterans Advocate for 25 years. Paul was active in… Read More » his community serving the Pine Meadow Fire Co., as Chief, President of the Incorporation and was still a member.

He also served the Pine Meadow Fire District as Sec. , Treasurer and then Chairman. He belonged to the American Legion Post #28 and was an EMT for New Hartford Vol.

Ambulance. In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves his daughter, Rebecca Pobuda of Torrington and grandson, Peter Pobuda and fiancé Dani Sabo of Windsor. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford from 5 – 8 PM.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family with full Military Honors.
