Obituary for Paul “Sonny” Brannon Paul E. Brannon, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born June 15, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Floyd Oren and Gladys Sue Powell Brannon. Paul was retired with Duke Power after 31 years of service.

He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, was an avid fisherman, golfer with his son and grandsons, family man, loved to cut up, he lived life to the fullest! Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Carroll Brannon; daughters, Vicki Hill (Joe) of Boiling Springs, SC, Lisa Brannon of Wellford, SC, and Lori Tallent (Micky) of Boiling Springs, SC; a son, Scott Brannon (Norma) of Gaffney, SC, and a sister, Wilda Ann Bass of Inman, SC. He was an adoring “PePaw” to Mark Hill, Ben Hill, Sonnie Knox, Bradley Starnes, Hayley Brannon, Kinsley Brannon, Kendall Brannon, Jentezen Brannon, Andrew Brannon, and Matthew Tallent, and 12 great grandchildren, all of Spartanburg County, SC.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Elnora Wyatt. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Gateway Baptist Church, 1600 Old Furnace Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral service will be at 12:30 PM at the church, conducted by Pastor Davy Shelton, Grandsons, Mark Hill, Bradley Starnes, and Ben Hill.
