Mr. and Mrs. Gary and Sharon Wortham officiated. Paula was born August 31, 1939 in Brady, Texas to Burlie and Marie (Pinson) Bradford.

She married William Lester Hughes II on October 10, 1959 in Wichita Falls. Paula was an educational diagnostician for the Birdville ISD for 32 years. She is survived by her husband, Bill Hughes of Fort Worth; children, William Bradford Hughes of Fort Worth, David Scott Hughes of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Hunter, Haylie, Griffith and Piercen; great grandchild, Rose; sister, Carolyn Dawson and husband Ray of San Angelo; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
