Paula was born on March 15, 1939 in Harlingen, TX to Tomasa & Florencio Villarreal. She graduated from Harlingen High School in 1958.

She worked at a 5 and Dime while in school, then Weldon’s Jewelers, and finally JC Penney’s. She worked at JC Penney’s in the administrative office for many years until she retired. Paula married her high school sweetheart, Frank Sanchez Sr, her husband of 46 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sanchez Sr, her parents, brothers; Florencio Villarreal, Alberto Villarreal, and Javier Villarreal; sisters Felicia Garza, Romana Garcia, Celia DeLeon, Gloria Rojano. Paula is survived by her son Frank (Arleen) Sanchez, her grandchildren Natalie, Derek, and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister Mary (Pete) Calderas.

She has numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was always ready to help others and offer her prayers when needed.

She will be greatly missed by many. She will be at Trinity Funeral Home, viewing will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 1pm to 9pm with the Rosary at 7pm. Funeral will be on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11 am at St Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Derek Sanchez, Matthew Sanchez, Javier Villarreal Jr, Raul Garza, Chris Calderas, and Jay Jasso. Honorary Pallbearers are Natalie Cruz and Paula Villarreal.
