Obituary for Paulette Cooke (Steele) Paulette Steele Cooke, age 61 of Bridgeport, CT. , entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Center, surrounded by the love and care of her family. Paulette was born June 29, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland, the beloved daughter of the late John Henry Cochran & Frances Steele Sitton.

Paulette attended Norwalk High School. Paulette was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Cooke. Paulette was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She loved plants and was known for her incredible “green thumb”. Paulette enjoyed knitting, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered most for her kind spirit and love for Jesus.

Paulette is survived by one son, Ky Langley & daughter-in-law Tonya; four siblings, Barbara J. Graham, Jackie L. Steele, Sheila Sitton, and Willie D. Sitton Jr.; step-father, Willie D. Sitton Sr.; two grandchildren, Jyles Irby and Kyarah Langley; special nephew, Brian Steele; special nieces, Jacqueline Steele and Latosha Steele; spiritual friend, Pattie Little, life-long friends, Dianne Hodge, Lorraine Williams, and Patty Middleton ; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory. A Memorial Service honoring Paulette’s life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 12pm-2pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT.
