OBITUARY Pauline Barger Cook December 26, 1929 – September 4, 2018 Pauline Barger Cook, 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 26, 1929 to the late Ordie Leona Barger in Catawba County. Pauline was a lifelong member of Mt.

Hebron Lutheran Church in Hildebran. She was always a giving person. Pauline loved her family dearly and made sure everyone was taken care of.

Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Winfield Cook; and brothers, Ray “Bud” Barger and Harry Barger. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Carolyn Edmondson and husband Ravon of Hickory; granddaughter, Alicia Simpson and husband Travis of Vale; grandson, David Lee Lambert of Hickory; great grandchildren, Kaden Simpson, Kilah Simpson, Kaleb Simpson, Karlee Simpson; sisters-in-law, Brenda Barger and Margaret Cook, and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Curtis Erskine will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Royal Chapel Church of God Cemetery.

The family will also begin receiving friends at their home beginning Thursday, September 6, 2018.
