Obituary for Pauline Choquette Ladebauche Pauline Choquette Ladebauche, 93, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away after a courageous battle with heart failure on July 29, 2018 at White Oak Estates. Born July 12, 1925, in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Albert Honoré Choquette and Alma Baillargeon Choquette and was the widow of Joseph Arthur Ladebauche. Following graduation from Woonsocket High School, Pauline worked as a long distance operator with AT&T.

After her marriage in 1952, she and her husband moved to Spartanburg where they raised their family. She eventually returned to AT&T where she retired. Pauline kept active in the community as a Red Cross volunteer at Spartanburg Regional for over 30 years.

She was also a faithful member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the St. Theresa Circle. Survivors include her children, Donna Wharton of Mechanicsburg, PA, Denise Thomas of Pacolet Mills, SC, Mary Jo Fleischman (Jim) of Spartanburg, SC, Paul Ladebauche of Charlotte, NC, and Marie Rieck (Stephen) of St. Augustine, FL; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Choquette of Cumberland, RI; and sister, Irene Beaudreault of Slatersville, RI. She was predeceased by her sons-in-law, Dr. James Wharton and Henry Thomas Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Stacey Hild.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Historic St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, by The Rev. David R. Whitman.

A reception will follow in the Parish Life Center. Burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery, Slatersville, RI at a date to be determined. Many thanks to the loving staff at White Oak Estates Skilled Nursing Facility for their excellent care and nurturing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church’s Building Fund, 161 North Dean Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302. She will always be remembered for her robust character and strength.
