Pauline Green October 27, 1928 – May 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Pauline Green passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was 90. Funeral services have been entrusted to Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.

Visitation will be 9AM to Noon on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Perry. Pauline will then return to her hometown of Stigler where she was born and raised and will lie in state at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler from 9AM to 8PM on Friday, May 24, 2019. Family will greet guests from 6PM to 8PM at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2PM at the Stigler Church of Christ with Virgil Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at the Stigler City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Will Green, Nate Green, Richard Collins, Victor Hall, James Collins, and Dennis Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Green, Luke Green, Roy Hall, Gary Stubblefield, Ronnie Hall, Stephen Hall, and Larry Collins. Pauline, the oldest of eight children, was born October 7, 1928 in Stigler to Tony and Minnie (Shaver) Stubblefield. She lived in the Stigler area until 1944 when her family moved to Okemah for a few years.

In 1948 she moved back to Stigler, and that is when she met a young man by the name of Harry Green outside the local Theater and Love was struck! They soon married on November 24, 1948 at the Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She and Harry were longtime members of the Stigler and Keota Church of Christ.

After Harry’s death in 2007, Pauline moved to Perry, Oklahoma to be closer to her children. While there, she attended the Perry Church of Christ where she remained until her passing. Her greatest accomplishment was providing a home full of love for her husband and children.

She also enjoyed working on the 240-acre family farm just north of Stigler with her husband raising cattle, chickens, goats, and a variety of other animals. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and when time would allow, she enjoyed traveling. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her four children; Harry B. Green and wife Vina of Rockwell, Texas, John W. Green of Morrison, Oklahoma, Linda P. Crites of Goltry, Oklahoma, and Paul A. Green and wife Tammy of Perry, Oklahoma; sister, Jo Ann Hall and husband James of Stigler, Oklahoma; two brothers, Sam Stubblefield and wife Pat of Stigler, Oklahoma, and Jim Stubblefield and wife Barbara of Muldrow, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, Kim Lane, Browyn Vaughn, Seth Green, Lori Eikleberry, Luke Green, Will Green, Stefanie Douglas, Crystal Smith, Carrie Perry, Nate Green, Jimmy Monholland, Casey Monholland, and Billie Monholland; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry; son, David Green; 3 sisters, Jewell Collins, Patsy Stubblefield, Pat Ball; brother, Bill Stubblefield; son-in-law, Denny Crites; 2 nephews, Tony and Derrick Stubblefield; and parents.
