Pauline Rymer, 99, of Champaign, passed away at 11:27 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19th at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign. Mrs. Rymer was born March 3, 1919 in Hillsboro, Illinois to parents Ray and Charlotte (McKinney) Shouse.

She married Glenn Rymer July 28, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He passed away August 17, 1980. Survivors include children, Sandra Maxwell (Robert), of Riverside, California, Gary Rymer (Shirley) of Tolono, Illinois, and Jerry Rymer (Kay), of Grants Pass, Oregon.

Also surviving are two siblings, Mary Vogel (Robert), of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Lowell Shouse (Zelma), of Windsor, Illinois. Five grandchildren survive: Annie White (Kelly), of Tolono, Illinois, Matthew Rymer (Jessica), of Champaign, Illinois, Joshua Rymer, of Glendale, Oregon, Jeremy Rymer, of Wolf Creek, Oregon, and Aaron Rymer (Danielle), of Wolf Creek, Oregon, along with 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pauline retired as a library clerk at the University of Illinois, where she worked for 17 years.

During retirement she worked part-time at Fannie May Candy. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Tolono and volunteered with the Burnham Hospital Auxiliary. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that condolences and memories of Pauline be shared at www.
