Obituary for P.D. “Joe” Camacho Jr. P.D. (“Joe”) Camacho, Jr. of West Point passed away on January 8, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Master Sgt. P.D. Camacho, Sr. Joe was born on March 13, 1938, in Plattsburgh, NY.

He joined the Army and was stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA. During this time, he met his wife in West Point, VA where they married and raised their family.

Joe retired from Colonial Williamsburg in 2000 after 27 years as a sign painter and artist. He would lend a hand to anyone and was known as a jack-of-all-trades. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jean H. Camacho; daughter, Donna German and her husband, Keith of Yorktown; son, Joseph B. (“Jay”) Camacho of West Point; grandson, Justin Camacho, his wife, Sarah and their daughter Katelynne of West Point; two step-grandsons, Matthew German of Yorktown and Andrew German (Kelly) of Newport News; five sisters, Virginia Russo (Robert), Claudette Budden, Linda Fennimore (Louis), Donna McDowell, Marcelina Robbins (Howard), all of New Jersey; one brother, James Camacho (Joan) of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews and their children.

Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. At his request, there will be no service. Memories and condolences may be made on www.
