Obituary for Pearl Cynthia Brumble Pearl Cynthia Brumble (Crandall) 84 of Lakeland died on Saturday, Oct 13, 2018. She was born in Gales Ferry, CT to Clarence Mauger Crandall & Emma Marie Antoinette Desaulniers. She has been a resident of Florida for the past 18 years, coming from Connecticut.
Pearl worked at Vality in Gales Ferry, CT until it’s closing in 1984, she then worked for the Navy Exchange in Groton, CT until 1998 when she moved to Florida to help raise two of her grandchildren, Zoey and Connor. As the grandchildren grew older, she went back to work as a hostess at a nearby McDonald’s where she continued to brighten everyone’s day with her contagious happiness and enthusiasm for life until she was nearly 80. She was a dedicated homemaker – crocheting blankets for her entire family and many friends.
She enjoyed bowling, spending time at the nearest beach, and tending to her many plants, which flourished so well because of the love and patience she gave them. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, whose lives will be forever touched by her enduring love and example. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband and two children Kenneth Wayne Brumble and John Fletcher Brumble.
She and her sister Ann got their Angel wings this week. Heaven only knows what kind of shenanigans these two will have going on. I imagine if they show up to guide you, their wit will make you smile through any sadness.
They were the last of the fourteen Crandall brothers and sisters to be reunited with their parents in heaven. We are so thankful to have called you Mom and Aunt Ann and am so thankful to call on you as our Angels now. Pearl is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Brumble of Lakeland, FL, Laura Lee Bordas of Kissimmee, FL, Jane Thompson of Lake Worth, FL, and her lifelong friend and daughter Maggie Panza; her six grandchildren, Andrew Fletcher Shetland of Griswold, CT, Christipher Robert Shetland of Sumter, SC, William Henry Harris of Fort Rucker, AL, Amanda Faith Harris of Kissimmee, FL, Zoey Lilith Aaron of Lake Worth, FL, and Connor Emmerson Thompson of Lake Worth, FL; as well as nine great grandchildren, Caitlyn Ann Shetland and Gwyneth Cecelia Shetland of Griswold, CT, John Squier, Pearl Squier, Kenneth Squier, and Gabriel Squier of Kissimmee, FL, Matthew Manuel Harris and Alexander Ramiro Harris of Fort Rucker, AL and Catherine Cherie Shetland of Sumter, SC.
