Pearl Mercer, the last of nine children born to Nicholas and Helen Murkic Vuletic, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at her home in East Liverpool in the presence of her ever-attentive family, following a brief illness. 101 years old, she was born in Steelton, Pennsylvania on August 12, 1917. A homemaker and Christian by faith, Pearl was a graduate of Midland High School.

Pearl and her late husband raised their family on the Mercer Farm near Chester. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, including her children, Paula Bailey, with whom she resided, Carol Keister and her husband Sherwood of Mifflinburg, PA; the late Elmer L. Mercer Jr., and her daughter-in-law, Karen Mercer. Nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren survive as well.

In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Mercer Sr; her son, Elmer L. Mercer Jr.; her grandson, Jason Keyser; her brothers, Nick, Rudy, Mike, Drago, and Jerry Vuletic; and her sisters, Mildred Mraovich, Dora Simms and Anna Judy. Private services were held on Tuesday in the Chapel at Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester, followed by interment. Rev.

Paul Treese Officiated. The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester was proud to assist the family with these arrangements.
