Obituary for Peggy Ann Aiken Peggy Ann Aiken, 87, of Traverse City passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at Munson Medical Center with her family at her side. Peggy was born on March 19, 1931 in Columbia, PA to the late Harold and Eliza (Lartz) Berntheizel. She married Dr. Donald J. Aiken in Toledo, OH on June 9, 1956.

Together they raised three children. Peggy worked as a lab technician for 27 devoted years at her husband’s medical practice in Okemos. She and Don retired to the Traverse City Area in 1991.

Peggy enjoyed being a member of the Elks Lodge #323. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and in the Munson Medical Center Gift Shop for over 23 years. In her spare time, Peggy liked to knit, cook and made amazing pies.

She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving Peggy is her husband Don of 62 years; children, Jeffrey Aiken, Bradley Aiken, and Linda (Lynn Odum) Aiken; grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Aiken, Drew (Fiancée Mindy) Aiken, Cody (Abby) Aiken, Kyler (Kassie) Aiken, and Ellie Aiken; a great grandchild on the way; sister Nancy Pollock; beloved dachshund Daisy and many other loving family members and friends. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and sister Jane.
