Obituary for Peggy Bloodworth Peggy Jean Cohea Bloodworth, age 85, of Springfield, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, September 6, 2018. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11am in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brother Carl Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow with Lee Batey, John Wayne Wells, Matthew Wells, John Joseph Bloodworth, Lane Pearson and Ian Bloodworth serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield from 10-10:30am. Mrs. Bloodworth was born September 26, 1932 in Barren Plains to the late Milton and Lorene Woodard Cohea. She was a homemaker, member of Wartrace United Methodist Church and long-time resident of Robertson County, but will always be remembered as a devoted wife and mother.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Bloodworth is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend John M. Bloodworth, her daughter, Sheila Jo Sands and nine siblings. She is survived by her sons, John (Jan) Bloodworth, Jr. of Owens Cross Roads, AL and Timothy Scott Bloodworth of Springfield; daughters, Donna Fay (John Wayne) Wells of Cowan, TN, Pamela Sue (Lee) Batey of Cedar Hill and Melissa Jean (David) Darrow of Paris, TX; sister, Faye (Charles) Federman of Springfield; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Wartrace United Methodist Church.
