Peggy L. Brand, age 83, of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Sweetwater Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 12 , 2018 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Clower officiating.

Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. Peggy was born on December 10, 1934 in Fisher County, Texas to Wade and Eva Lou (Cartledge) Hayes She married Paul Kelton Brand in Sweetwater, Texas.

She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and was very active in her church. She is survived by three sons, Patrick Brand and wife Patti of Sweetwater, Texas, Christopher Brand of Sweetwater, Texas, and Mike Brand and wife Pam of Norwich, Connecticut, son-in-law, Scott Chastain of Quitman, Georgia, seventeen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sister , Amy Gene Gray of Waco, Texas,and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Kelton Brand, daughter, Nancy Chastain, four brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be Greg Perry, U.S. Burton, Danny Neves, Brian Black, James Fleming and Devan Clower. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1323, Sweetwater, Texas 79556.
