Obituary for Penelope Lillian Parish (Burdette) Penelope “Penny” Lillian Parish Penelope “Penny” L. Parish, 79, of Big Chimney, went peacefully to her Heavenly home after battling a long illness, Friday, December 21, 2018, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents Sylmon W. Burdette and Lillian G. Burdette. Penny was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

She was a great patriot and loved her county. She was also a member of the PEO. Penny is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Brig Gen (Ret) Robert “Bob” Parish; daughter, Brig Gen Paige and son-in-law Lt Col (Ret) Rick Hunter; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous family, and many friends.
