Obituary for Penny Cherry Herzog “I know for certain that we never lose the people we love even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.

We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love”. Penny C. Herzog 1957 – 2018 passed away peacefully on October 14, 2018. Penny was born March 10 or 11 of 1957 which was legally a problem so of course Penny took full advantage so she could celebrate her birthday twice a year.

Penny was born to Mildred Irene Cherry and Glen Stephen Cherry who proceeded her in death. Penny had a very loving personality and loved her family whole heartedly. She especially loved her brother Stephen as he lived with her for many years to assist her with whatever was needed, not only did he stand up to the plate so did his daughter, Stevie, which there are no words that can thank you two enough.

Penny worked very hard every day and never missed a day at work, she was with Cutie Pie for 20 years and then went to OSI for another 20 years until her body said it’s time to take a break my dear. One of the loves in Penny’s life was her Diet Coke. If you didn’t get her Diet Coke you were looking for a whoopin!

Penny had such an amazing and vivacious sense of humor, she would keep you laughing so hard your gut hurt or you would be sobbing tears. Penny’s greatest joy in life was her only son, Randy. Whether he was getting in trouble with his cousins (you know who you are) or teasing her non stop where she would whoop him and gave him the swift kick in the butt he deserved.

Penny is survived by her only son, Randy Herzog, and her grandchildren, Dylan; Ryan and Rachel; her ex-daughter-in-law, Tiffany Herzog; many nieces; nephews; friends and extended family. Proceeded in death by both parents; her brother, Stephen Cherry; sisters, Diane Terry and Laura Winkworth. We would also like to give a special Thank You to Pine Creek Rehabilitation for all your love and care you provided to Penny.

Also, a huge Thank You to Heidi and Whitney and all of the on-call nurses with Canyon Home Care and Hospice. Each of you were such a tremendous support and the care and love you showed Penny will never be forgotten. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Wiscombe Memorial from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Per wishes of Penny she will be cremated following the viewing.
