Percy’s Obituary Percy Lee Hillard was born June 24, 1947 to Luther Hillard and Sofronia Henry Hillard. He confessed faith in Christ at an early age at the Mount Lula Missionary Baptist Church. Percy attended Lakeview High School and proceeded on to attend Job Corps.

He was employed at Helena Warehouse and Riceland/ Quincy Soybean Company. He met Dorothy J. Jackson and they were united in Holy Matrimony on May 10, 1970. To this union four children were born.

January 10, 2019, Percy Lee Hillard, Sr. was called home by his Heavenly Father, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Sofronia Hillard, three sons, one grandson, seven sisters: Ruby, Lola, Ruthie, Josephine, Clarlien, Nomia, Francis; two brothers: Daniel and Leon Hillard and his grandparents, uncles, aunts and a best friend Herman Speed. He leaves to cherish memory a son, Percy L. Hillard, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Shelia Smith Hillard; two grandsons: Fabian Hillard and Kiyon Hillard; grand- daughters: Jakiya Hillard and Dorothy Hillard; two brothers: Charles Hillard of Helena, AR and Luther Hillard of St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters: Bonnie Jean Hillard of Madison, Wisconsin, Joyce Hill of Memphis, Tennessee and Mary Lee Hillard of Chicago, Illinois; a special friend, Eddie Mae Luckett, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including Kangel Wells, Lolea Williams, Jewell Perry, Joan Speed, Helen Jackson, Robert Jackson (Talony), Charlie (Lamraine) Jackson and James (Christina) Jackson.
