Of Waupaca, age 66, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born in Waterloo, IA on October 20, 1951 to Peter and Verona (Smith) Ruiz. On January 10, 1970 he married Sandra Warner.

Peter and his wife were members and ministers as Jehovah Witnesses. Peter symbolized his dedication to Jehovah God by his baptism as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at age 15. He got his first job at age 17 at Morris Print Shop in Waterloo, IA and continued in the printing business through age 55.

Peter will be remembered for his love of auctions and the way he could pull pranks with a straight face. Peter is survived by his wife of 48 years: Sandy; children: Perry (Lisa) Ruiz; Carmen (Jody) Johnson; Brenna (Ryan) Topping; grandchildren: Jacob, Mason, Shya, Milana, Tristin and Azalya, father: Peter Ruiz; siblings: Cathy (Vince) Miller, Tim (Cathy) Ruiz, Tina Sebetka and Andrew Ruiz, whom all called their brother Sonny, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Verona Ruiz.

Private family services will be held.
