It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Charles Larvey announces his passing after a long battle with MS and brief struggle with lung cancer on Monday, April 23, 2018. Ronald passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Myrna; and his children, Faye Larvey, Rhonda (Damon) Woody, and Vianne (Bruce) Appell.

Ronald will also be forever remembered by his four grandchildren, Jolene (Kevin) Graney, Ronessa (David) Tholl, Kaylla Appell and Chantel Appell; and loving great grandchildren, Ian Tholl, Kevin Graney, Liam Graney, and Milez Appell Garrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. Larvey and Ida M. Larvey, as well as his granddaughter, Erika Petrowski. Ronald was born in Highbridge, WI on June 21, 1939.

He attended grade school in Highbridge and high school at Mellen High and went on to join the Navy in 1957. On June 14, 1958, he married his high school sweetheart, Myrna Fischer. He was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger for six years.

After an honorary discharge, Ronald worked as a Troubleshooter at GTE in Minocqua, WI and as a superintendent at MCI throughout the United States. Ronald enjoyed baseball, work, and his family. He played baseball at the age of thirteen on Highbridge team and in the Navy on the Navy ship.

A visitation honoring Ronald will begin at 10:00 am at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 203 N Main Street, Mellen, WI on Saturday, May 19, 2018 with a funeral Mass following at 11:00 am. The family of Ronald Larvey wishes to thank the Wisconsin Veterans Home and ThedaCare Hospice, as well as the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
