Of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, formerly of Appleton, age 89, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018. He was born in Wauwatosa on December 16, 1928. His siblings were Harry, Chris, and Hugo.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army. He married Jean Riesenweber in 1956 and they lived and raised a family in Appleton. He enjoyed repairing watches and clocks, photography and was an accomplished carpenter, always looking for something new to build or fix around the house.

After marriage, he took a job at Appleton Papers, working mostly on the packaging line for many years until his retirement. He is survived by his wife: Jean; children: Mike, Nancy, and Sue; granddaughters: Melissa and Sarah; great grandchildren: Micah and Savannah, other relatives and friends. The Graveside Service with Military Honors will be on Monday, August 20 at 11 a.m. at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.
