Philip Celey Maddox, 83 of Sanford passed away Friday December 28, 2018. Arrangements are pending. Mr. Maddox was born in Wake Co, a son of the late William Velvin Maddox and Laura Mildred Celey Maddox.

Mr. Maddox is survived by his wife, Josephine Patterson Maddox; daughters, Audrey Maddox Donaldson and husband John of Clinton, Melanie M. West and husband Mark of Sanford, and Leslie M. Hannah and husband Joe of Sanford; grandchildren, Brian Donaldson, Trent West, Caroline West, Meg Hannah, Audrey Hannah, Jonathan Hannah, Emily Hannah, and Cameron Hannah. Memorial contributions can be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
