Phillip E. Nelson, age 73, of Niceville, Florida passed away peacefully in his home on June 20, 2018 surrounded by his family. Phil was born on January 11, 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia to Casper and Alice Nelson. Phil retired after 25 years from Crestview Aerospace and enjoyed several years of travel with his wife Jan.

Phil and Jan just celebrated 53 years of marriage on June 12, 2018. Survivors include his loving wife, Jan; daughter, Michele (Russell)Smothers; grandson, Hayden Stauts and step-grandson, Conner Smothers. The family would like to thank Kindred Home Healthcare and Emerald Coast Hospice for their excellence and professionalism during this very difficult time.
