Phyllis A. Kuhn, 80, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, November 1, 2018 at St. Francis Home. She was born on January 24, 1938, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Laurent J. and Ruth G. (Zimmerman) Brickner. On October 6, 1956, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Donald E. Kuhn and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2000.

Survivors include her daughters, Kristina (Ken) Krumm of Columbus, Kay Ward of Florida and Kimberly L. (Steve) Huffman of Tiffin; brothers, Jimmy (Charlotte) Brickner and Larry (Vickie) Brickner, both of Tiffin; sisters, Patty Smith and Pammy (Paul) Bonnell, both of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her special friend/companion, Allen Dryfuse of Tiffin. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dr. Gene Brickner. Phyllis graduated in 1956 from Calvert High School, worked at GE until 1981 and retired in 2006 as a cafeteria worker at Tiffin City Schools.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Allen Eiry Center, volunteered at St. Paul’s Sharing Kitchen and was an avid gardener. She was an awesome listener who enjoyed going for rides in the car, getting ice cream and camping. She enjoyed organizing her home and the homes of her family and friends.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A Rosary will be 20 minutes prior to Mass.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3-5:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
