Obituary for Phyllis “Pheephee” Cooper Phyllis “Pheephee” Cooper was born in Roatan, Honduras on April 18, 1925. She was a resident of Harvey, Louisiana for over 30 years and passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018, at the age of 93. She was a beautiful, kind, happy, nurturing soul who loved her morning coffee and couldn’t have a meal without ‘bread-kind’.
She lived a long and healthy life surrounded by loved ones. Beloved daughter of the late Alfreda and Carlie Cooper. She will reunite with her cherished late husband, Francisco Meza.
Sister of Morris Wade Cooper (Mary) and the late Eloise Cooper and Martin Cooper (Doris). She is survived by her son Fred Aster Stanley Cooper and daughters, Sheila Victoria Stanley Cooper and Mary Lue. Aunt of her dearest Wade Wood (Lana) and Chris Cooper (Carrie).
Granddaughters, Sherlen Stanley McField (Rupert), Phillis Stanley Robinson (Julio), Dulce Stanley Richards (Carlton) and beloved Godmother and nanny of Annissa Wood de Bueso (Saul), Trevor Wood and Jorge Acosta Jr. Great grandsons, Williray Connor, Deon McField, Brandon Robinson and Kyle Robinson as well as her great granddaughter, Shenna Connor, and 7 great-great-grandchildren along with various nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by many family and friends, including Adrian “Tio” McLaughlin Sr. and Bernarda “Nandita” Zelaya with whom she resided, Alma James, Halsie Borden, Sherynel Jackson, and Sherry Palmer-Jimenez. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Laplaco Blvd.
