Phyllis Trosky February 01, 1937 – March 06, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Phyllis Trosky, 82 of Woodbridge passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Haven Hospice at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison. Born in Clifton, Phyllis was a resident of Woodbridge for over 60 years and was employed as a secretary for the Diocese of Metuchen. Ms. Trosky was also a hairdresser at Mr. John’s Salon in Woodbridge as well as a teacher at Rainbow Beauty Academy.

Phyllis was a longtime parishioner of Ukrainian Assumption Catholic Church in Perth Amboy where she was a member of the choir. She also enjoyed singing and dancing in New York during her childhood. Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother who always enjoyed making people laugh and was always the life of the party.

Phyllis was predeceased by her husband in 2002, George Trosky. Surviving are her children, Douglas Trosky and his wife Lisa, Debra Peotter and her husband Joe, Dawn Mattioli and her husband Steve, George Trosky, Jr. and his wife Pat and Glen Trosky; grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Douglas, Caitlin, Justin, Alex, Sara, Glen, Jr., David and Nicole; great grandchildren, Alexandra, Olivia, Colin, Jackson, Cameron, Madison, Hailey and Alyssa as well as a sister, Adele Teasdale. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 9am to 11am at GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

A 12pm funeral liturgy will follow at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations both monetary and tangible may be made to Menlo Park Veterans Memorial Home, 132 Evergreen Rd, Edison, NJ 08837.
