Obituary for Phyllis Vanness Oiler Print Phyllis Vanness Oiler, 72 of North Mitchell Heights departed this life Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born February 26, 1946 in Beaver Valley Hospital at Floyd County, KY to the late Thomas Ray and Willa Margaret Vanness. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: her sister, Sherri Darlene Vanness Akers.

She is survived by: her son, James Aaron Oiler; nephews, Tony Akers and Brian Akers; nieces, Desirae Akers; and great-nephew, Desmond Akers. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday January 26, 2019 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Collins officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be Johnny Owsley. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
