He was born October 1, 1930 in Forsyth County to the late Andrew and Rosa Velta Cass Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Nancy Corrine Jackson; second wife Lois Helen Jackson; son Larry Jackson.

Surviving are his daughter Tawana (Tim) Sale; step children Vickie (Eugene) Groce, Eddie (Alene) Minton, Sue Johnson, Diane (Jake) Colpetzer; grandchildren Matthew Jackson, Aaron (Lori) Jackson; two sisters Sue Williams, Jean Jackson; brother Andy Jackson; daughter in law Sherry Jackson. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday February 26, 2019 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday February 27, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev.

Jimmy Settle and Rev. George Evans. Burial will follow at United Fellowship Church Cemetery.
