Our Hero, Quinn Alan Starks (age 33), a resident of Orem, passed away in the early morning hours on May 9th, 2018 during his second battle with brain cancer, after being cancer free for 26 years. He refused to give up and leave until he united his entire family, as well as a community of friends and even complete strangers while fulfilling a bucket list. He taught us all about what matters most.

We love you Quinn and we will miss you! Quinn was born December 19th, 1984 to parents, Wade and Linda Starks. He was the youngest of nine children.

Quinn graduated from Mountain View High School. Quinn is an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a service missionary in 2005 at the LDS Motion Picture Studio in Provo, Utah. There he help build sets for movies, and provided security during events.

He also acted in the film “Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration”. Quinn worked as a cashier for Target. Earlier, he worked at Smith’s grocery store in Provo and Orem.

Quinn is survived by his parents and siblings, Celeste (Andrew) Robinson, Gregory (Tammie) Starks, Trevor (Summer) Starks, Donovan (Jennifer) Starks, LeeAndra (Bill) Jones, Brandon Starks, Bryce (Chelsi) Starks and Bella (his energetic, forever faithful dog). He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews who will miss playing games with him whenever they get together. Quinn was preceded in death by his brother Ryan Starks (who always had to be first at everything) and dog, Little.

What a reunion they must be having, with Ryan likely saying to Quinn “what took you so long? ”. We are so grateful for the care from Quinn’s health care professionals who went above and beyond in their care of our hero.

We also thank those who made his dream bucket list possible. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the LDS Chapel located at 80 West 900 South, Orem, Utah.
