Obituary for R. David Ray R. David Ray 1949-2018 R. David Ray 69, Rockport, Texas formerly of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Rockport. David was born on August 14, 1949 in Los Angeles, California to the late Robert and Betty (Smith) Ray. He was a 1968 graduate of Maryville High School.

David was employed by Pierce Vet Clinic, Lloyd Metal Products, Owner and Broker of Market Masters Real Estate. He served as a Deputy Coroner and later Coroner of Nodaway County and retired from the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department after 28 years of service. David was enjoying his retirement years in Rockport, Texas.

He will be missed by his Maryville family and friends at Big Lake, Missouri and Rockport, Texas. He is survived by his sister, Carrie L. (Martin) Carmichael of Maryville, Missouri. Graveside Services and Burial 10:30am Tuesday, October 2nd at Miriam Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri under the care of Price Funeral Home.
