Obituary for Homer E. Hinton Homer Eugene Hinton, 78, widower of Charlotte Ford Hinton, passed away December 5, 2018. A native of Greenville, son of the late Homer Woodrow and Clara Belle Duboise Hinton, he was a graduate of Furman University and earned his Master’s degree from Clemson University. He served in the United States Army National Guard, was a retired principal for Greenville County School District and a member of Five Forks Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Charlyn Beth Johnson (Michael) of Simpsonville; a son, Jimmy Coxy (Tara) of Ft. Inn; a sister, Mary Jo Hester (Anthony) of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Stephen Johnson, Calynn Morrison, Morgan Foster, Jesse, Justin, Julia and Jonathan Coxy; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Five Forks Baptist Church, conducted by Rev.

Howard Foster. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
