Hawes, Homer On April 24, 2018, Homer Page Hawes passed away at age 78. In his younger years, Mr. Hawes worked as a welder, then later worked for more than 20 years at Giant Food of Severna Park. A man of faith, Homer loved gospel singing and would play gospel and sing along in his car.

He also enjoyed casino gambling and getting all dressed up. Homer was the beloved husband of 40 years to Hilda Oney Hawes; devoted father of Gary Page Hawes, Joe Mapp and Angela Mapp, and was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was loved by all his friends.

Friends and family may visit Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Services and interment will be held in Wilmington, North Carolina.
