Ralph (Bud) Edgar Eberly passed away at the Laurels of Massillon on November 24, 2018, after 90 years of life. He was born on February 6, 1928 to Frieda and Ralph Eberly in Massillon, OH. As a member of the United States Navy, he proudly served in the South Pacific.

In 1950, Ralph married the love of his life Mary Lou Eberly (Yost). They were married for 46 years and traveled to all 50 states. Ralph retired from the Timken Company of Canton, OH, after 38 years of service and was the founder, owner, and operator of Eberly Electric.

His slogan was “We Mend Your Shorts”. He was an avid collector of model trains and a member of the Massillon Train Club. He was a member of the American Legions, member of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department, Station #2, and with Mary Lou a volunteer for Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Eberly, his daughter Vicki Eberly and his brother David Eberly. He is survived by his sons and daughters: Mike Eberly (Melina), Tom Eberly (Carolyn), Lynn Sanderson (Bill), Diane Massihnia, Beverly Godding; and sister Jackie Biehl; Grandchildren: Christie, Laura, Mina, Adam, Will, Sarah, Stephanie, Diego and Jesse; Great-Grandchildren: John, George, Liam, Sean, Mason, Nolan and Landon. Ralph also leaves behind his very dear friend, Ruth Dean.

Ralph’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Laurels of Massillon, especially Tommy and Rhonda. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Clement’s Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10 – 11 a.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Southwest Chapter, 8050 Hosbrook Rd. , Suite 314, Cincinnati, OH, 45236.
