Ralph’s Obituary Oakwood – Ralph “Gene” Goble, 72 of Oakwood, IL passed away Friday March 1, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gene was born in Danville, IL the son of Raymond Goble and Lillian Siefman, on July 8, 1946. On March 2, 1973 he married the late Jennie Salts in West Lebanon, IN.

Gene will be deeply missed by his children Debra Hutson of Collison, IL, Jeff (Penny) Goble of Danville, IL, and Troy (Ashley) Goble or Danville, IL; his grandchildren David (Jasmin) Hutson, Dusty Hutson, Marcus Goble, Erick Williams, Jeffrey Goble, Reese Goble, and Megan Harrison; his great grandchildren Victoria and Veronica Hutson; his loving step mother who raised him Dorothy Goble; 7 brothers and 3 sisters as well as many special nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his father, his step father William Siefman, his brother Raymond, his wife Jennie, and two grandchildren Deanna Hutson and Zachary Goble. Gene was a United States Veteran who proudly served his county.

After serving, he returned home and farmed for many years. Gene also enjoyed fishing with his friends and grandchildren as well as scrapping. The family would like to thank all of their friends and loved ones who have reached out during this difficult time.

A ceremony of life will hold place on Sunday March 17, 2019 at the Muncie Baptist Church 205 Main St. Muncie, IL 61844. Visitation will be from 1-2 with funeral service at 2:00PM. Robison Chapel, Catlin, IL is handling the arrangements.
