Randall L. “Randy” Smith, 72, of Naperville, IL, formerly of Bartonville, IL, passed away at 8:40 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at his residence. He was born on June 11, 1946 in Peoria, IL to Maurice and Marie (Barber) Smith. He married Patricia Holman on April 3, 1969 in Peoria, IL.

She survives. Also surviving is one son, Adam (Jennifer) Smith of Oswego, IL; one granddaughter, Chloe Smith of Oswego, IL; one brother, Larry (Mary) Smith of Pekin, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He… Read More » was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy was an engineer of Komatsu and retired after 45 years of service. He graduated from Limestone High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during Vietnam.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville, IL. A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM before the service. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Scattering of the ashes will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to Edwards Cancer Center in Naperville or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
