Obituary for Randy Lafayette Randy Lee Lafayette, 48, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Born July 17, 1970 in Houston, MS, he was the son of Lucille Logan Lafayette and the late Dennis Leon Lafayette. Randy was a 1989 graduate of Calhoun City High School, and a member of Trinity Bible Baptist Church.
He worked for many years at Piggly Wiggly in Calhoun City, and most recently for his mother, Ms. Lucille at South Main Grocery. He loved woodworking, and also loved to be outdoors, whether hunting or fishing, or just shooting. Randy will also be remembered for his dedication to the Fire Departments of both Calhoun City and Sabougla.
He was a devoted public servant, and had 29 years of service with Calhoun City Fire Department and 3 years with Sabougla Fire Department. He was just a true friend to so many. He went above and beyond to help the community and its people in any way he could.
The impact he made on his community will never be forgotten, and we will always be grateful for his service. God has now called him home, and he has been reunited in Heaven with his son, Tanner.
