Ray Zlotkowski Of Arlington Heights Ray Zlotkowski was born on December 4, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Helen (nee Balcerak) Zlotkowski. He passed suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Ray worked as a barber in Deerfield for 40+ years at his establishment, The Hair Hutch.

He continued to work the past 10 years for the Deerfield Park District at his home away from home, the Deerfield Golf Course. He was a skilled, avid golfer and was proud of his multiple club championships, holes in one and golf scores that equaled his age. Combining his passion for golf and friends, many knew him for his role in organizing various golf leagues and his annual golf outing to Biloxi, Mississippi, a tradition that spanned more than 30 years and brought hundreds of golf enthusiasts together for a week of golf nirvana.

He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, winning at blackjack and in his younger years, softball and racquetball. Ray is survived by his wife of over 50 years Chris Zlotkowski (nee Jablonski); his children Dina (Jeff) Nelson and Kevin (Lyn) Michaels Zlotkowski; his grandchildren Tyler Nelson, Teagan Nelson, Troy Nelson, Matthew Michaels and Joshua Michaels; his sister Sandy (Larry) Glinski; his sisters and brothers-in-law Viv (John) Ciciora and Ernie (Alice) Jablonski; his nephews Gary (Celeste) Zlotkowski, Randy Zlotkowski, Keith (Debbie) Glinski and Brian (Lucinda) Cicora as well as his nieces Karen (Scott) Simnick and Katie Jablonski. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers Ron Zlotkowski and Bob Zlotkowski.

Visitation Friday, February 22, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service being held at 6:30pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Rd. ) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Ronald McDonald House Charities 1301 W. 22nd Street Suite 905, Oak Brook, IL, 60523 rmhccni.org/.
