Raymond C. Coon, Sr., 69, of Division Road, East Greenwich, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his children TSgt. Raymond C. Coon, Jr, currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Raeann Coon, of Rock Hill, SC; as well as his brothers Richard and David Coon.

He is predeceased by his parents Edmund and Mildred Coon, brothers Edmund Coon Jr., William Coon, Jimmy Coon and sisters Mildred Briggs and Helen Bean. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island but loved visiting Rangeley, Maine with family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, visiting antique car shows and everything Elvis.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Arrangements by Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Per Raymond’s wishes a private burial will be held at a later date.
