Raymond George Friedrick Ziegelman December 04, 1924 – December 25, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Raymond Ziegelman, 94 of Wahpeton, ND formerly of Great Bend, ND passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, ND. Burial with military honors will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Andy Ziegelman, Timothy Schmuck, Darin Prochnow, Jamie Hermes, Jon Holzhauer & Alexis Krause. Honorary pallbearers are all his grandchildren & great grandchildren. Raymond George Friedrick Ziegelman was born December 4, 1924 to August and Ida (Gast) Ziegelman.

He was baptized on December 21, 1924 by Pastor Hinck at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, ND. He was confirmed there by Rev Rengstorf on June 5, 1938. He attended school in Brandenburg Township and worked on a farm for his parents.

He enlisted in the Army on March 7, 1946 and was honorably discharged on September 13, 1947. Raymond married Marvel Pasbrig on September 6, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend. They lived on her father’s farm in Brandenburg Township and he farmed.

They went to live at the Leach Home in Wahpeton on October 5, 2011. After a hospital stay, he was transferred to the St. Francis Home on January 19, 2018 where had resided since. Raymond is survived by his wife Marvel who resides at St. Francis Home, Breckenridge, MN; daughter: Wanda (Paul) Zietlow of Hankinson, ND; son Brian (Candy) Ziegelman of Great Bend, ND; sister: Jeanette Pratt of White Bear Lake, MN; brother: Alfred (Jeanne) Ziegelman of Jamestown, ND; four grandchildren: Sarah (Tim) Schmuck; Amy (Tim) Cookman; Diana (Jamie) Hermes; Andy (Carmen) Ziegelman; five great grandchildren: Christian Schmuck, Alexis Krause, Hadley Hermes, Kasey & Kambry Cookman; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: August and Ida Ziegelman; brothers: Marvin (Alma) Ziegelman, Milton (Virginia) Ziegelman, Walter Ziegelman (infant); sisters: Irma (Clarence) Prochnow, Arlene (Leland) Mostad, Vera Ziegelman (infant).
