Raymond Paul Vaughan, age 68, residing in South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 10:27am on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1949 in South Bend to the late, Raphael and Peggy Joyce (Griffee) Vaughan. On December 2, 1989, Ray married Linda Bethard Vaughan in LaGrange United Methodist Church, LaGrange, Indiana.

Along with his loving wife Linda, he is survived by his children, Tiffany of Middlebury, IN; Chad Vaughan of Middlebury; Shannon Vaughan Garber of South Bend; Laura (Dru) Egli of Howe, IN; and Stacy (Benn) Malmanger of New Auburn, WI. Raymond is also survived by his grandchildren, Stuart Garber, Vivien Garber, Aspen Malmanger, Jonathan Malmanger, Evelyn Egli, Kody Malmanger, Jaren Egli, and Oliver Egli; one great-granddaughter, Adalynn Munoz-Garber; and his sister, Diana Long of Mishawaka, IN. One brother, Barry Vaughan, preceded him in death.

Ray attended Faith Baptist Church in Angola, IN, for twenty years. He was employed with Ziebart and excelled as their top salesman for three years in a row. He was the sole distributor for power mirrors through Lacks Industries in Grand Rapids, MI.

He previously owned Subway in LaGrange. Ray and his wife, Linda, also owned and operated another café. In his early working years, he delivered milk, and at the end of his career, he transported RV’s.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. , South Bend. Rev.

Fred Cencelewski will officiate. Burial will follow. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 am until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
