Obituary for Raymond “Tom” Rill Sr. Raymond R. “Tom” Rill, Sr. 88, of Hampstead, passed away on September 29, 2018 at the Carroll Hospital Center. Born August 12, 1930 in Hampstead, he was the son of the late Walter and Treva (Stoffle) Rill. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Rill.

He had been a foreman with Walsh Construction Company, where he had worked 43 years. He enjoyed helping anyone in the community, loved watching the Orioles and spending time with his family. Surviving are sons Ronald L. Rill and Robert R. (Diana) Rill both of Hampstead, grandaughters Misty Lynn (Brett) Strevig of Hampstead, Kristina M. Rill of Hampstead and Ronda (Bob) Nichols of Waynesboro, PA.

; grandsons Trevor M. Rill of Salisbury and Clinton G. (Erin) Renfro of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers George D. Rill of Hampstead, Russell Rill of Hanover, PA and Norman Rill of Hampstead and a sister, Martha Feeser of Millers; great grandchildren Shawn (Brittany) Strevig of Westminster, Erin Strevig and fiance Tyler Miller of Hampstead, Rylan Nichols of Waynesboro, PA, Garrett Renfro of Anchorage, Alaska and Laura Renfro of Anchorage, Alaska. Also survived by great great granddaughter, Paisley A. Strevig of Westminster. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 1, 2018, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead.

Service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Please call for time of service. Interment will be in Shiloh United Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hampstead Vol. Fire Dept. , P.O. Box 231, Hampstead, MD 21074 or to Shiloh U.M. Church, 3100 Shiloh Road, Hampstead, MD 21074.
